Brand Ambassador or One-Off Partnership?
A single post or a year-long relationship? The cost and the payoff are completely different. Here's how to tell which one fits.
When a one-off is right
When there's a date: a launch, a sale period, a seasonal push. If the goal is maximum visibility in a short window and the product explains itself, a one-off is both faster and cheaper.
When an ambassadorship is right
When you need to build trust. In finance, health, automotive or insurance, nobody is convinced by one post. An audience that keeps seeing the same person beside your brand starts to believe the relationship is real — and in long deals it usually becomes real.
The cost comparison is deceptive
An annual deal looks like the bigger number, but the cost per piece of content is usually lower than a series of one-offs. Long deals also make production easier: the person knows the brand, shoots get faster, and nobody rewrites the brief from scratch each time.
The middle path: a pilot
If you're unsure, start with a three-month pilot and put the extension option in the contract. You get to see how the audience reacts and what the person is actually like to work with. If it goes well you extend; if it doesn't, the loss is contained.
